Color Accuracy Test
Evaluate your monitor's color reproduction and gradient smoothness.
Gradient Smoothness
Look for "banding" or sudden jumps in color transitions.
What to Look For
Banding: If gradients look like distinct stripes rather than a smooth fade, your monitor may have low bit-depth or poor calibration.
Color Shift: Move your head side-to-side. If the colors change significantly, you likely have a TN or VA panel rather than an IPS panel.
Oversaturation: If the primary colors look "neon" or painful to look at, your display might be in a "Vivid" mode that sacrifices accuracy for pop.
Pro Calibration Tip
For professional design work, we recommend using a hardware colorimeter (like a Spyder or X-Rite). Software tests are great for identifying major issues, but hardware is required for true 100% sRGB or DCI-P3 accuracy.
